Generally, a Thumb Spin is a Trick where the Pen spins above the Thumb in a Palm Sideways Position. A Thumb Spin is different from a Thumb Index Spin, once the Pen spins at the top of the Index finger and the Thumb, it is therefore classified as a Thumb Index Spin. Thumb Spin can either be Clockwise or Counter Clockwise.
In my opinion, to do this trick easily, Pull off first a ThumbAround Normal and instead of catching it, let it spin above the thumb. To do this, you need to make your thumb as flat and steady as possible but don't forget to use the little lump(bone) above your Thumb, because it is where the Pen will spin.
